“We need to change this state," said former party chair and former House Republican leader, Joe Bruno. "In my opinion Steve will lead Maine with a blend of fiscal conservatism and pragmatism that changes the dynamic in Augusta.”
Former party chair and former Senate Republican leader, Pam Cahill added, “The real problem is the lack of vision and the necessary leadership from the Governor. The people of Maine deserve better. We not only need a responsive state legislature; we need a strong and responsive leader in the Blaine House. I believe that Steve Abbott is that leader and I am proud to support him for governor."
“I’m delighted to have the active, strong support of so many of these people who I have admired and worked with over the course of my many years with Maine’s Republican Party. It’s an honor to have them supporting my candidacy,” said Abbott.
